Ranbir Kapoor is telling all his friends that Besharam is his Dabangg

Ranbir Kapoor is telling all his friends that Besharamis his Dabangg
The promos of  Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Phata Poster Nikla Hero shows Shahid Kapoor doing the Khaki-clad Dabangg act. But the more entertaining aspect to this wannabe Chulbul Pandey’s Dabangg is that the Phata Poster... role was originally written for Ranbir Kapoor.

Says a reliable source, “This is the script that Santoshi wanted to make right after Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani again featuring Ranbir and Katrina, for the same producers (Tips). But Ranbir had other plans. He wanted to do his own Dabangg-style massy entertainer with the Dabangg director.

That’s how Ranbir became a part of director Abhinav Kashyap’s Besharam where he plays a con-man on the run in Delhi-Haryana while his parents Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor play cops on Ranbir’s trail. In fact Ranbir tells all his friends that Besharam is his Dabangg.”

Rishi confirms, “It is our family’s out-and-out commercial entertainer. Very much in the Dabangg and Rowdy Rathod genre of entertainment.” A source close to Besharam predicts the film would be Ranbir’s biggest blockbuster to date. “We expect it to be bigger than Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani. It’s Ranbir’s most massy film

Tamas did not take any sides

Says Om Puri who played a pivotal role in the serial that is back on TV.
Tamas was one of your earlier serials...
Yes, I have done some wonderful serials on TV including Bharat Ek Khoj, Kakaaji Kahi, Yatra etc, and Tamas is definitely one of them. I am happy it is being telecast again on History TV 18. The serial is about the not-so-good part of our history — the partition. It is a reminder of the kind of price we have to pay if we separate on the basis of communities. We were to shoot in Punjab but couldn’t go there because terrorism was at its peak.  So we shot in Mumbai.

What are your memories of shooting for it?
I was slim, still I had to lose some weight and grow a beard because my character was shown to be poor. I had read a lot about the partition so I could relate to it. I didn’t have to prepare as such because both the book on which the serial was based, and the script were moving. The most difficult scene, however, was the one where I had to kill a pig and I was really scared that the pig would attack me. I insisted on having a three feet high khurli (a place where food for pigs is kept) so that if it attacks me I can jump into it!

The first airing had sparked controversies..
Yes, people were touchy. Hyderabad Doordarshan was attacked and in Mumbai somebody went to court.  I remember Justice Reddy asking Govind (Nihalani, director) about certain scenes like the one where a Muslim gentleman saves the life of a Hindu family.

When the Hindu man tells him that he has forgotten his jewellery, the Muslim guy goes back to get it. There he sees a family being killed and a Hindu servant grinning. Looking at the servant, something happens to him and he kicks him.  When Justice Reddy asked him why he showed that, Govind told Justice Reddy that, that was the tragedy. People who are objective and sensitive lose balance when something like this happens. But there was nothing controversial. Tamas did not take any sides.

I don't do films to prove anything to anyone: Sonakshi Sinha

The 26-year-old actress says she enjoys watching and doing masala entertainers.
Sonakshi Sinha.
Sonakshi Sinha.
Actress Sonakshi Sinha, who has mostly acted in films centered around larger-than-life male characters, says she does not sign films to prove anything to anybody.
"I don't do films to prove anything to anyone. Nobody pin-pointed a finger at me about my acting. Right from my first film, people said I had a great screen presence. They said that she acts well and dances well. So I did not have anything to prove in that department," Sonakshi said.
Sonakshi, who made her Bollywood debut with Salman Khan-starrer Dabangg, later did films like Rowdy Rathore with Akshay Kumar and Son of Sardar with Ajay Devgn.
She feels actresses have an equally important role in commercial cinema.
"There are roles written in masala films for actresses too. Otherwise the films would have been made with actors only. I think even actresses have a part to play in commercial films," she said.
The 26-year-old actress says she enjoys watching and doing masala entertainers.
"It is more challenging to make a film like that because they are larger than life. It is not something that happens in real life. In a film like 'Lootera', the lines are colloquial... very conversational... The way we talk in real life. Whereas in masala films, the dialogues are larger than life. So to do something is also challenging in a way, but it is lot of fun as well," she said.
While films like Dabangg, Rowdy Rathore, Son of Sardar, Dabangg 2 brought box-office success for Sonakshi, Lootera brought her critical acclaim.
"I feel 'Lootera' was once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. It was a beautifully-written role. When it came to me people told me I won't be able to do it. So I took it up as a challenge to prove them wrong, but not to prove that I can act," the actress said.
However, despite giving several hit films, Sonakshi feels that she is not competitive.
"I have never been a competitive person from the start. I don't know what my contemporaries are doing. I don't know who has signed which experimental film. If everybody is jumping into the well it does not mean I will also do it. I have always done things on my own terms and conditions without looking left or right," she said.
She is now looking forward to her upcoming film 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara' a romance drama by Milan Luthria.
For this film Sonakshi has teamed up with Akshay Kumar for the third time, after 'Rowdy Rathore' and 'Joker'. She had also done an item song in Akshay's home production 'Oh My God' and his forthcoming film 'Boss'.
"I respect him a lot he was my second co-star after Salman Khan. We have a very good work rapport. That is why we have worked so many times. When you share a good rapport with someone it is always easy and nice to work with the actor," Sonakshi said.
In 'Once Upon...' Sonakshi will be working with Imran Khan, an actor from the younger lot. However, when asked the actress says she is not concerned about the age of her co-stars.
"I don't look at the age when I work with somebody. It is all about forming a proper working relation be it with a actor or director or producer, age is not a concern for me. The seniors have lot of experience so there is lot more that you can learn from them. It is nice that I started off with them and got to learn a lot in the first few films," she said.

Sunny Leone's husband Daniel Weber, also a porn star, will now make his Bollywood debut in wife's Jackpot

One schedule of the film (with Sunny and Daniel) has been completed in Goa. He has acted in adult films earlier, and is also Sunny’s manager.

Daniel confirms his acting debut in Jackpot, Kaizad (Gustad) asked me, and I said I will be glad to. I have shot my first scene in Jackpot and really enjoyed it. I was very pleased how professional the set-up was.” He adds that he was comfortable with the language as well. “It was not tough to speak in Hindi at all. I listen and try to speak in the language every day whenever I am in Mumbai. I had a few Hindi lines and Sunny helped me to learn them. There were some dialogues in English as well.”

He further reveals, “My role is a grey one. I have a small part of a conman in the film. It’s just a small role.” And no, he is not paired with Sunny, Sachiin plays the love interest. Daniel wants to do more similar roles, “I have been offered more films but will keep my roles small so I can focus on my music and managing Sunny.”

The couple is currently in LA training for her next action film Tina And Lolo. Daniel says, “We have been training with the Terrible Terry Norris who has been a three-time world boxing champion.

Saturday night at the Rogers Cup semi-final was no different. Nadal won the first set 6-4 and Djokovic took the second 6-3. The third deciding set was a tie-breaker and Nadal played with aggression similar to his French Open semi-final level of play to come on top 7-2 in it.
The Spaniard won the match 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (7-2) to make the final where he will be up against Milos Raonic who is ranked 13th making the final with a 6-4 1-6 7-6(4) win over wildcard Vasek Pospisil.

Fans on Twitter also commented with conspiracy theories about the incident. Here are some reactions:

Rafa and Nole as they are called by fans looked to have put the matter behind them as they showed their sportsmanship and admiration for each other as they hugged and had a chat at the net.

Djokovic who is currently the best player on hard court and the Australian Open champion can learn a lot from this game as he also seeks another US Open title.

Prabhudheva rewrites role to cast his fave leading lady Sonakshi Sinha

Prabhudheva takes his affinity for Sonakshi Sinha to another level in his next project. For the action-thriller starring Ajay Devgn, the heroine’s role has been modified to suit Sonakshi’s star status.

Says an insider, “To begin with, there was not that much for the heroine to do in the film. Until Sonakshi stepped into the project.”

When Prabhu offered the Devgn starrer to Sonakshi he was not sure if she would opt for a male-centric film at this juncture in her career,  when she’s playing central characters in Lootera and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara. But to his surprise she agreed. That’s when he got down to seriously integrating her character into the script’s central drama.

They have previously worked together in Rowdy Rathore and Rambo Rajkumar and a song in his film OMG Oh My God. Says Prabhu, “People ask, why Sonakshi every time? I ask, why not? She is  a big star and a  complete actress. She can dance, emote, do comedy... And most importantly we’ve struck a great rapport since Rowdy Rathore.

I thought she would be too busy to agree. But Sonakshi made time for Rambo Rajkumar. And now she has made time for the (untitled) film with Ajay Devgn. I owe it to her to make sure her presence is justified.”

In Rowdy and  Rambo, she was cast in a rural backdrop. In fact in most of the films that Sonakshi has done so far including Son Of Sardar with Ajay, she has played non-urban characters. That will change in her Prabhudheva film with Ajay. She will be cast as a sophisticated city girl.

Never exorcised Hannah Montana: Miley Cyrus

Singer Miley Cyrus says her real life persona was very different from her character in the TV series Hannah Montana. She also clarified that unlike others, she never allowed the role to influence her.
Cyrus rose to fame after playing a teenage girl, who lives a double life of a simple girl Miley Stewart and famous pop star Hannah Montana in the Disney channel's hit TV series.
“I don’t think I’ve ever had to exorcise Hannah because I think people knew I was different from her in real life," dailystar.co.uk quoted Cyrus as saying.
Cyrus, who later went on to establish her singing career with songs like "Climb" and "Can't be tamed", feels she never needed to be pretentious on the show.
“Most people on Disney act as if they are really like their characters, but I never felt the need to do that," Cyrus said.
“I never pretended I was as good as what Disney writes. They try to make someone not grow up, but you can’t do that to real, normal people," she added.

Success is relative: Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone - DNA
After debuting with a blockbuster in 2007, Deepika Padukone has hardly lost the taste of success. With Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and now Chennai Express striking gold at the box office this year, one of Bollywood's star actresses says success is nothing but "relative".
Is it her year at the box office?
"If people are saying it's my year, it depends on my films," Deepika said in an interview to IANS.
"I think these things are relative. It feels nice to hear or to read about it. But, more importantly, I have been working really hard. I know I have pushed myself and sacrificed a lot of personal and family time. But in the end if the result is like this, you don't mind. But, yes, I think success is relative," she added.
Deepika's Chennai Express, starring her Om Shanti Om co-star Shah Rukh Khan seems to be on its way to breaking records at the box office. The film released Friday to a roaring opening day response.
The more the success, the tougher it gets to keep up to it, believes Deepika, who made a rare successful transition from modelling to filmdom.
"I have to focus all my energies and hope that the next film is better. It does not get easier to live up to all of that. I want that with every film, the love, success and experience increase," said the 27-year-old daughter of former national badminton champion Prakash Padukone.
In her over five-year-long film career, the actress has been a part of various movie genres - thriller, romance, action, drama and comedy. She finds comedy the toughest.
"Comedy is the most difficult. Comic timing is something which you either have it in you, or you don't. You have to have a good sense of humour to be able to understand it. A split second can make you lose the punch.
"As actors, it is very difficult to perform it the same way every time, for the audience to find it funny," she said.
Yet, she seems to have given it a shot for Chennai Express, directed by the new age master of Bollywood comedies, Rohit Shetty. In the past, he has made the Golmaal series and comic hit Bol Bachchan.
How was it working with him?
"I believe that he has his own school and style. It was a new style for me. His way of taking shots and directing his actors is different. He always had everything planned," she said.
But he gave her enough room to try to improvise on her character named Meena in Chennai Express.
"It was tough for me as I had to speak in a Tamil accent. With your director, you can also discuss and say that you feel like doing this (a certain thing). And if it works for the scene, then you do it," she said.
Working with Shah Rukh again was also a pleasant experience as she feels nothing about him has changed.
"He is still as caring, loving, charming, giving and protective. For me, there was no difference from Om Shanti Om. Even though it took us five years to come back (in a film), we were always in touch," she said.

I do movies according to market demand: Akshay Kumar

Akshay revealed that the makers have kept the film's ending open, hinting at a part three to the franchise.
Akshay Kumar
Akshay Kumar - DNA
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar says his choice of films is dictated by the market demand and he does not mind playing regular action-comedy roles.
Last year, the 45-year-old actor dominated the screens with his masala entertainers Housefull 2, Rowdy Rathore, Joker, and Khiladi 786.
Akshay's previous movies Desi Boyz, Tees Maar Khan, Khatta Meetha and De Dana Dan were also in the comedy genre.
"Such films were running so what should I do! You have to do sometimes what people like. I do feel the need to change but I have to see what the market wants. Whatever the demand is the product has to be the same. It is not my choice," Akshay told PTI in an interview.
The actor seemed miffed to be asked about choosing similar looking roles lately but said he is breaking the mould with Special 26 and his upcoming film Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobaara where he is playing a negative role after his 2001 release Ajnabee.
"It felt amazing to take out the gun and keep it on the hero's head. For the first time I got an opportunity to do that. I honestly enjoyed it," Akshay said.
A sequel to 2010 hit Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, the movie sees Akshay take on the role of Shoaib Khan, previously played by Emraan Hashmi.
There were reports that Shoaib's role is inspired by Dawood Ibrahim but the actor denied any similarity between the real and the reel don.
"The characters are fictitious and it has no relation with any living person. It is a fictions and romantic story set in the backdrop of underworld. The good thing about the film is that it has a hint of dark humour which wasn't there in the first part," he said.
Akshay revealed that the makers have kept the film's ending open, hinting at a part three to the franchise.
"I think the producers want to make a part three so I run away in the end and don't get beaten up by the hero. They have kept the ending open. I don't know if there are any plans but if it happens I will surely be back."
His three films in the past have made it to the 100 crore club, which has become the new criteria for a Bollywood hit but Akshay is not worried about the business this time.
"What will the result be? I can't say whether it will be a hit or a flop. But as an artiste you are very proud of some films and this is that one film for me. There are few films which I don't keep in my DVD collection but of 'OUATIMD' I can keep two copies."
Directed by Milan Luthria and also starring Sonkashi Sinha and Imran Khan, 'OUTAIMD' hits the theaters on August 15.

Shah Rukh Khan has been shying away from commenting on his much publicised hug with Salman Khan but the actor says they have become more mature and their relationship is no longer about oneupmanship.
"It has gone beyond this (oneupmanship). There is no question of bowing or making him bow now. It may have been the case two-three years ago. Whether he should speak first or I should... we have become more mature now," SRK said while replaying to Rajat Sharma during his show Aap Ki Adalat on India TV, to be telecast tomorrow.
The two actors fell out after a fight at Salman's ex-girlfriend, Katrina Kaif's birthday party in 2008 but they were seen hugging each other at MLA Baba Siddique's Iftaar party this July, sparking speculation that they were friends again.
When Sharma asked whether he would invite Salman to watch his upcoming release Chennai Express, Shah Rukh said this may happen in future.
"Even I am not watching Chennai Express this Eid as I am celebrating the festival... but actually most certainly, if there is an Eid function at my house or they have a function in their house, then invitations will go from both sides. It will happen someday. We will be more mature, either he will come or I will go to his house. everything would be fine." Shah Rukh, who worked with Salman in films like Karan Arjun, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam and Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, said he respected Salman as an actor and star.
"I have great respect for him, not only as a friend and as a family but as a star and as an actor. They helped me when I first came to Bollywood though I am the senior."

Can't stop smiling: Shah Rukh Khan on success of Chennai Express

Friday, Aug 9, 2013, 19:37 IST | Place: Mumbai | Agency: IANS
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express, which released on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr Friday, says he can't stop smiling thanks to the overwhelming response to the movie.
"I can't stop smiling. Till the time I don't stop smiling, the excitement won't settle down," Shah Rukh said at a press conference held here Friday.
The conference was held at the compound of his Bandra bungalow Mannat, and he was accompanied by Chennai Express director Rohit Shetty.
Shah Rukh said he is happy with the initial response, but he wants to wait for some more days to see how the film sustains.
"It is nice that the film is doing well. I want to wait for three to four days. I am happy that people have liked the film and it has opened well," he said.
However, he didn't know about the film's success in terms of numbers.
"I don't know how much (business) it has done till now. I just woke up. If a big film releases, I try to refrain for at least two to three days (from counting the collections)," he said.
"Chennai Express has a positive message for women, and Shah Rukh says he is glad it has been able to depict the message in a convincing yet subtle way.
"The film has a message, but it is not on the face. The film is a made up story. She (The female character played by Deepika Padukone) is a strong woman who runs away from home. We have made a point in the film without making a point of it," he said.
The film has several Tamil dialogues, but sans subtitles. It was a conscious decision, SRK said.
"The idea was to show the audience what the hero is going through. Also, love has no language. If we start explaining, then the point is lost. It will spoil the creativity," he added.

Deepika Padukone is on a roll. Even before the release of Chennai Express, the industry is abuzz with rumours that the actress is working with Shah Rukh for the third time in Happy New Year.
Deepika is also pairing up with ex-boyfriend Ranbir in Imtiaz Ali's next project after Bachna Ae Hasino and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
When asked about it, Deepika chose to play safe by neither confirming or denying the casting news.
"I believe every film has its own course and destiny. I believe films choose me, I don't choose films. If it's meant to be it will happen," Deepika said.
"You will know my line up soon. I am focusing on Chennai Express promotions and Ram Leela...Whatever announcements have to be made will be made soon," she added.
On pictures of Ranbir-Katrina (holidaying in Spain) going viral online, Deepika said, "It has never happened with me. I believe if you are a celebrity or public figure... these things are bound to happen. And I don't think you can accuse anybody of anything. If I am a public figure and if someone has captured me then I feel I should have been a little careful."
Katrina had written an open letter to the media after her bikini clad pictures with rumoured boyfriend Ranbir were published in newspapers.

No item song for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

Sanjay Bhansali clarifies that there is no song featuring the actress in Ram Leela.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Rumours of an item song by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in her Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s under-production film Ram Leela have been making the rounds lately, making one wonder if the much-missed diva would dance her way back to the screen after her self-imposed sabbatical in favour of motherhood.

However, the filmmaker completely nixes the rumours. Says Bhansali, “First it was Sonakshi Sinha, then Madhuri Dixit. Now it’s Aishwarya. None of these rumours are true.” While Aishwarya remained unavailable for comment, a source close to her commented, “At the moment Aaradhya is Ash’s one and only priority.

Yes, she is slowly looking at scripts again, and some very good ones. But she
gets tempted, and then again she decides now is not the time. She doesn’t want to miss out a single moment in Aaradhya’s growing-up years.”

But Aishwarya may say yes to the Masoom remake to be produced by Himesh Reshammiya and directed by Bedabrata Pain. For one, it is a story that she loves. Secondly, the makers are willing to adjust the schedules according to her convenience.

Most of all, the film co-stars Abhishek, and Aaradhya can be with her parents as and when she wills. “But an item song? No way!” concludes the source.

How Hrithik Roshan got fit for Krrish 3 and for life!

We’ve seen him dance, act, sing in his movies but one thing that remains constant are his good looks, charming personality and definitely his fit physique. But Hrithik too had his low point after a back injury which left him bedridden for months. Now, he is back in the game with an even better looking body (drool!) especially created for his upcoming film Krrish 3. We give you his diet and fitness secrets – all you need to know – in this article.
How it all started
After his back injury, Hrithik was on bed rest for months and gave into his cravings for muffins, cookies and cigarettes quite often. ‘I was smoking three packs a day. I had been smoking for the last two-and-a-half years now; everything was just going the wrong way. I knew that if I didn’t put a stop to it now, it was going to take over my life. That was going to be my downfall.’ After realising that he could not play a superhero with a waist of 91 cm, Hrithik decided to hire Kris Gethin as his fitness trainer. He wanted to inculcate fitness in his lifestyle and not just get in shape for a particular role. He chose not to opt for crash diets either.  ‘I’d done that before in my life. I’d gotten into the best shape. [Then] I’d go back to all the wrong ways, eating chocolates and letting myself go. I knew that this wasn’t just getting into shape for a character. This was something I wanted; it had to be a lifestyle change. It had to be something that would last me all my life.’ (Read: How Hrithik Roshan transformed his body)
And thus began his training with Kris’s 12-week Body by Design plan. The results were immediate and dramatic. ‘I look at myself and I am amazed that something like this is possible. It was a twelve-week transformation, but we completed it in ten weeks. ‘I’m just amazed at the possibilities of the human body and how easy it was. There was no sacrifice. Everything just flowed. I was loving my meals. They were nutritious as well as tasty. I don’t think I can go back to ‘normal’ (if I can say ‘normal’) kinds of food again, where it’s just about taste and not about nutrition.’
How Hrithik trained
Hrithik followed the Body by Design plan which consists of three phases. The fundamental phase starts with basics of strength training to prepare your body for the intense training in the coming weeks. It involves isolation, compound and multimuscle movements to work the muscle to its full capacity and separate development from one muscle to the next, which helps create a toned appearance. (Read: Kris Gethin’s Body by Design workout plan)
The second or the momentum phase focuses on strength and muscle development to add density to the muscle because the denser the muscle, the more calories are required and burned to maintain it—this is when your body starts to turn into a calorie-burning machine.
The last phase or DTP (Dramatic Transformation Principle) is highly intense and really pushes your limits a notch higher. It is an advanced level – though the exercises are simple, they place a distinct stress on your muscles that will push them to produce previously unimaginable results. And Hrithik is certainly a living proof of this workout plan.
Due to his knee injury and slipped disc, Hrithik did a lot of CrossFit and functional training along with the DTP plan. After 10 gruelling weeks of hard work and dedication, his body was transformed to what it looks today. (Read: Hrithik’s body was transformed in 10 weeks)
What Hrithik ate
Any fitness regimen is incomplete if one does not eat the right food at the right time and Hrithik made pretty sure he did not make this mistake of not eating right. He hired Marika Johansson as his diet consultant. The very first change he had to make was to have frequent smaller meals rather than three large meals. In order to make sure he ate nutritious food, she came up with unique recipes like protein muffins and healthy meatballs which Hrithik gorged on while filming Krrish 3. (Read: Hrithik Roshan’s diet secrets)
He ate 7-8 meals in a day, each of which consisted of very simple food in the right ratio. His meals had good protein sources (chicken, beef, egg whites, fish and protein shakes) and good carb sources (brown rice, sweet potatoes, oats, whole wheat pasta).  He also consumed healthy fats such as omega oils and nuts. (Read: Exclusive: Hrithik’s Krrish 3 diet recipe)
All in all, Hrithik did put in a lot of efforts to get into this shape and the results are wonderful. Now that you know his fitness secrets, you too can follow this path of getting healthy and fit the right way.

Sonakshi Sinha and Shraddha Kapoor birds of same feather

Tuesday, Aug 6, 2013, 7:00 IST | Place: Mumbai | Agency: DNA

These actresses share more similarities than differences than any young actresses of their age...
Six degrees of separation is the theory that everyone and everything is six or fewer steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person in the world. It entails that chain of ‘a friend of a friend’ statements can be made to connect any two people in a maximum of six steps. It is a theory that became popular two decades ago. Time to launch a new one? Six degrees of non-separation! Like actresses Sonakshi Sinha and Shraddha Kapoor have lots in common. Read on to find out...

The 2010 debut
Sonakshi Sinha was launched by Arbaaz Khan in Dabangg while Shraddha Kapoor made her debut in the same year in Teen Patti.

The big launch
Sonakshi got to work with a superstar in her very first film and her career took off in a big way. Shraddha’s launch was big too. She was launched by the biggest studio — Yash Raj Films. She was recognised in Bollywood with Luv Ka The End. She was the protagonist of the film.

Filmi connection
Sonakshi is the daughter of an actor and politician Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha. Poonam (née Chandiramani) has acted in Hindi cinema under the screen name Komal in her early career. She is a former Miss Young India (1968) who has worked in minor roles in Hindi movies, and has also produced two films.
Shraddha was born to actors Shakti and Shivangi Kapoor, sister of actress Padmini Kolhapure. Padmini’s husband Tutu Sharma is a film producer.

On my own
Shatrughan Sinha is a big name in the industry and could have launched his daughter with fanfare, but he chose not to do so.
Shakti Kapoor made his debut with Rocky starring Sanjay Dutt. He has worked in hundreds of films and has connections, but he was clear that while he encourages his children in their career choices, he wouldn’t make films to launch them.

No bikini policy
Sonakshi has maintained a strict no-kissing and no-bikini policy right from her first film. The actress has admitted openly that she has a certain image to maintain publicly and would never resort to ‘gimmicks’ on screen to grab eyeballs.
Shraddha too has a no-exposing policy. Producers and directors approaching her for films are told strictly that she won’t reveal or get intimate with actors on screen.

Not without my brother
Sonakshi has two brothers, who wanted a career in B-Town. Luv has debuted in Sadiyan while Kush wants to direct. Shraddha’s brother Siddhant debuted in Shootout At Wadala this year and will be seen again in Ugly.

Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut is following in the footsteps of stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Juhi Chawla. The curly haired beauty will be seen singing a romantic number in the Rakesh Roshan-directed movie Krrish 3.
Composer Rajesh Roshan is full of praise of Kangna for hitting the right notes in the movie, in which she plays a negative chracter.
"Kangna is a born artist. There are praises for her from me. She has sung such a tough song in the film... to sing such a song, a full-fledged romantic song, it is a big thing," Rajesh told IANS.
Talking about the music of the supehero film, which stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead role, he said that it was tough as his director-brother Rakesh had set high standards.
"It is an action film, Rakeshji is Roshan blood, if you give him only commercial, he does not take it. He has fixed standards. They make me work till I raise my bar," he said.
The composer also added that one song took about a month to be made and five to six days to mix.
In addition to the romantic track, one can even groove to an item song, which Rajesh says is sans vulgar lyrics.
"Sameer has written the songs. This is a commercial film and there has to be a balance in the lyrics... There is an item song, but it does not have bad words. Rakesh doesn't like to put words just so that it works," he said.
Krrish 3 also stars Priyanka Chopra, Vivek Oberoi. It is scheduled for a Nov 4 release.
