These actresses share more similarities than differences than any young actresses of their age...
Six degrees of separation is the theory that everyone and everything is six or fewer steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person in the world. It entails that chain of ‘a friend of a friend’ statements can be made to connect any two people in a maximum of six steps. It is a theory that became popular two decades ago. Time to launch a new one? Six degrees of non-separation! Like actresses Sonakshi Sinha and Shraddha Kapoor have lots in common. Read on to find out...

The 2010 debut
Sonakshi Sinha was launched by Arbaaz Khan in Dabangg while Shraddha Kapoor made her debut in the same year in Teen Patti.

The big launch
Sonakshi got to work with a superstar in her very first film and her career took off in a big way. Shraddha’s launch was big too. She was launched by the biggest studio — Yash Raj Films. She was recognised in Bollywood with Luv Ka The End. She was the protagonist of the film.

Filmi connection
Sonakshi is the daughter of an actor and politician Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha. Poonam (née Chandiramani) has acted in Hindi cinema under the screen name Komal in her early career. She is a former Miss Young India (1968) who has worked in minor roles in Hindi movies, and has also produced two films.
Shraddha was born to actors Shakti and Shivangi Kapoor, sister of actress Padmini Kolhapure. Padmini’s husband Tutu Sharma is a film producer.

On my own
Shatrughan Sinha is a big name in the industry and could have launched his daughter with fanfare, but he chose not to do so.
Shakti Kapoor made his debut with Rocky starring Sanjay Dutt. He has worked in hundreds of films and has connections, but he was clear that while he encourages his children in their career choices, he wouldn’t make films to launch them.

No bikini policy
Sonakshi has maintained a strict no-kissing and no-bikini policy right from her first film. The actress has admitted openly that she has a certain image to maintain publicly and would never resort to ‘gimmicks’ on screen to grab eyeballs.
Shraddha too has a no-exposing policy. Producers and directors approaching her for films are told strictly that she won’t reveal or get intimate with actors on screen.

Not without my brother
Sonakshi has two brothers, who wanted a career in B-Town. Luv has debuted in Sadiyan while Kush wants to direct. Shraddha’s brother Siddhant debuted in Shootout At Wadala this year and will be seen again in Ugly.
