Actress Preity Zinta, who is currently on a break, is making the most
of her time. The actor is at present away, having a good time with her
family and making up for her earlier busy schedules. But while most tend
to let go of their diets while on a break, Preity who is on a strict
diet makes sure she eats her fave food, but follows it up with her
workouts. She has become very health conscious and is hell bent on
maintaining herself the same way for her debut production where she is
also acting. While her gym is her best friend these days, she recently
had a good exercise session as she happened to play baby-sitter for her
nieces and her friends. While the actor had fun playing and baby-sitting
the kids, she definitely thought it was a tough job. She even wrote
about that on Twitter: “Spent da whole day babysitting my nieces &
their friends! It was wonderful (as long as the ear plugs were on )Hats
off 2 all babysitters.”

Delhi’s showering stars!
Being home to Bollywood, Mumbai’s fashion events are naturally awash with stars. But this time around, Delhi is gearing up for a star-studded weekend, because of the Delhi couture week. Most of the designers participating starting today are planning to bring in B-towners either to walk the ramp or to be in the front row. And one making the news is Dhak dhak star Madhuri Dixit Nene, who’ll be attending a fashion week for the first time in Delhi for designer Varun Bahl. Says Varun, “I have recently started doing outfits for Madhuri and when I asked her to join us, she agreed.” However, it’s not just Madhuri who will be attending the show. Designer Manav Gangwani may have actors Lara Dutta, Esha Deol, Soha Ali Khan, Raveena Tandon, Dia Mirza and Zayed Khan attend his show, while designer Adarsh Gill has confirmed attendance from Sanjay Khan and wife Zarine Khan. Sharmila Tagore will be the showstopper for the designer duo Ashima-Leena. Designers Shantanu and Nikhil Mehra will have Sonakshi Sinha as their showstopper. An insider adds, “The designers insist that at couture week it’s all about luxury and high fashion, so a showstopper that suits their collection is not a bad idea.”

Why did Alka cry?
Singer Alka Yagnik is known to be one of the toughest judges on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs. But when contestant Salman Ali gave a spellbinding rendition of the song Saanwre (from the film Basera), the singer was seen shedding tears. All the three judges, Kailash Kher, Adnan Sami and Javed Ali were awestruck by the performance.
"We are all human beings at the end of the day. How do you get past hearing songs that tug at your heartstrings?" said an emotional Alka Yagnik who rushed to hug Salman after his performance.
